The Quero Ser Institute in partnership with The Stone Flower Foundation provides community-based solutions to fulfill children’s needs for high quality education, health care and nutrition. The Foundation provides financial support and administrative guidance. Accordingly, the following goals represent our collaborative action plan:

Establish physical facilities to accommodate classrooms, lunchroom, library, and specialized facilities for computing, music, and art. In addition provide athletic facilities.

Provide English language instruction as an avenue to broaden cultural horizons and open future
opportunities such as involvement in a cultural exchange program.

Provide computer skills needed in the work environment.

Encourage participation in extra curricular activities such as sports, art and music
to develop healthy avenues of expression.

Recruit local healthcare providers to establish the safety net of a basic level of
health care coverage for the students and their families, including immunization.

Recruit and further train local business and academic professionals to implement the
program and oversee its compliance with local and national standards for education in
Brazil.

Recruit local volunteers to locate, improve, and furnish an operational academic
facility including land, building, labor and supplies.

Partner with local medical services to provide health care to the Stone Flower students and their families to include preventive care.

Annual physical and access to doctors.
-
Dental services including annual exam and cleaning.

Provide vision exams and glasses when needed.
